Curfew in Metro Manila stays

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the curfew hours of 12:00 midnight to 4 a.m. being implemented in National Capital Region (NCR) remain as of now.

Olivarez, also chairman of the Metro Manila Council (MMC), said in a text message that the current curfew stays despite President Duterte’s approval of the recommendation reverting Metro Manila to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions due to the threat of Delta variant.

The city government announced in the official Facebook page of Olivarez that children 17 years old and below will no longer be allowed outdoors.

Aside from Metro Manila, four other provinces were placed under GCQ with heightened alert, namely Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur; Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte.
