The southwest monsoon or "habagat," enhanced by Typhoon Fabian, has dumped heavy rains in parts of Luzon, triggering floods and forcing the suspension of some classes and work in offices.
The latest weather disturbance comes as the country continued to record more coronavirus cases, including infections arising from the highly transmissible Delta variant.
Updates on the arrival of 1.5 million Sinovac jabs, Manila's cash aid program, intensified efforts against the Delta surge, and impact of the Supreme Court decision on the country's pullout from the ICC, are among the top stories on Thursday, July 22, 2021.
