The wife of ASG-sub leader and notorious bomber Mundi Sawadjaan was arrested during a counter terrorist operation at a house in Sitio Badjao Annex, Barangay Bus-Bus, Sulu at dawn last Saturday.

A Bangsamoro Police Regional Office post said police launched an operation to serve a warrant of arrest against Mudzrimar “Mundi” Sawadjaan.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Fatima Nasser Anilhusra- Sawadjaan, 28 years old, Mundi’s wife.

Mundi and two of his cohorts escaped during the operation.

A military report said Mundi and his cohorts were spotted in Bus-Bus, Sulu.

Authorities also recovered components of an improvised explosive device, an MK-2 grenade and two identification cards belonging to Elaida Jumdail inside the residence purportedly belonging to Fatima.
