Stand-up comedian and former "Face To Face" co-host Hans Mortel has passed away.

The news was confirmed via a Facebook post of his brother, Jean Mortel Chupungco.

"Gone too soon! You fought a hard battle. Thank you for giving it your all. I know you tried so hard for us," he wrote, along with the collage photo of Amy Perez and Gelli de Belen's previous co-worker.

"It’s ok, you fought for 3 months. We fought the battle with you. And now you can rest in peace," he added. "I will be comforted by the thought that you’re with Papa and Mama Azon now. And you’re face to face with our Lord. It hurts so bad, to let you go, but you deserve to rest. Know that we love you and we always will."

Recall that last June 12, Hans posted a photo of his hands before being confined to the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Though before that, on May 9, Hans updated his social media friends that he was undergoing "intense antibacterial treatments."

"Still physically weak, but I am now able to stand up. Blood clots from all the tests are also clearing up," his post read.

In April, Hans shared: "I'M COVID NEGATIVE. I'M DOWN BECAUSE OF SEVERAL OTHER CONDITIONS. I HAVE A LUMP ON MY NECK THAT'S GROWING BIGGER, AND SOMETHING'S UP WITH MY RENAL SYSTEM AS WELL."
