WATCH: Tiktok dance prenuptial video of teacher-couple goes viral

We’ve already seen on social media brides with their grooms performing Tiktok dance at the reception on their wedding day. But soon-to-be-married couple Ian Abcede Sacala and Michelle Labandero couldn’t wait for their big day to arrive, so they showed their prowess in dancing as part of their prenuptial shoot.

Teacher and scout leader couple Ian Abcede Sacala and Michelle Labandero.

Their two-minute prenup video shot by their wedding planners Renz Rosales Palo and Betty Yosores Salagunting went viral within hours after uploading it on Ian’s Facebook page, Dodong Yanex, last July 11, 2021. The Facebook page, which content consists mostly of Ian's dance videos, has 48 thousand followers. The viral videos already gained 8.5 million views as of writing.

Instead of doing engagement videos that have MTV-style editing or dramatically storified, which requires acting and posing, Ian and Michelle chose to show what both of them can do best—dancing. “We just wanted a simple prenup video that we could enjoy while doing the shoot. So since both of us can dance, we thought dancing to a Tiktok medley,” Ian told Manila Bulletin Lifestyle.

The couple, who are in a five-year relationship, are both working in the education sector in Zamboanga del Sur. Ian is currently the school head of Sumbato Elementary School while Michelle is a math subject teacher in Dimataling Central Elementary school. This explains why one of their outfits is that of a teacher’s uniform. The two can also be seen wearing a scout uniform because they’re also both scout leaders.

According to Ian, they only got to practice the dance for one whole night. In spite of that, they were able to pull off the choreography in one take for every change of attire and venue. The two lovebirds will tie the knot on July 28, 2021, and of course one of the highlights would be their Tiktok dance number. As of now, they are on a planning stage on how to go about it, but they will definitely perform the dance medley from their prenuptial video.

Dancing, more often than not, becomes a bonding moment for them during their time together. “Aside from that, we get to know each other's attitude when we’re rehearsing a dance. So dancing really became an important aspect in our relationship,” Ian said.

Their prenuptial photos taken by Lens and Pixel are also fun to watch. Set on a school library in Balangasan Central Elementary School, camping site in Dao, Pagadian City and beach resort in Donels Beach Zamboanga del Sur, the photographs display nothing but love and sweetness.
