K-pop idol groups BTS and NCT have made it to the top album and digital song sales rankings in the US in the first half of 2021.
MRC Data, which supplies music sales data to Billboard, released its 2021 Midyear Report for the US market covering the period Jan. 1 to July 1, 2021.
Based on the report, BTS grabbed the first two spots in the Top Digital Song Sales in the US in the first half of the year.
BTS’ “Butter,” which was released on May 21, ranked No. 1 with sales of 841,000 while BTS’ “Dynamite” took the No. 2 spot with sales of 283,000.

In Top Physical Albums, BTS’ “BE” ranked sixth with 125,000 in sales while BTS’ “Map of the Soul: 7” placed 10th with 105,000. NCT’s “Resonance, Pt. 1” grabbed eighth place with 106,000 in sales.
