The “Alagang Probinsyano, Kalinga ng Marikina LGU” was launched at Tañong National High School in Marikina.

In coordination with the local government unit (LGU) of Marikina City, the Ang Probinsyano party-list conducted the project which aims to give free medical check-ups, free maintenance medicines, vitamins, free laboratory, and diagnostic services, as well as a follow-up medical consultation

Rep. Alfred Delos Santos of Ang Probinsyano party-list, said they prioritized individuals with comorbidities and senior citizens in order for them to get much-needed medical assistance.

Delos Santos thanked Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro for partnering with them in their endeavor to help indigent residents by providing health care services, medicines, and vitamins.

The medical team of Marikina LGU and the party-list, composed of doctors and nurses, visited bedridden patients in Barangay Tañong for them to be examined by health professionals, and be given medicines and vitamins.

Delos Santos said they are “eyeing to multiplicate” the project in other areas in the country especially in provinces and other far-flung areas to help more Filipinos with comorbidities.

He said the current economic situation due to the pandemic prevents people from seeking medical care.

This is why Ang Probinsyano came up with the project, Delos Santos said.
