The First Division of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) dismissed nine more applicants for partylist.
Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon revealed this on her Twitter accoiunt on July 9.
The poll official, however, did not identify the nine partylist groups.
On July 7, Guanzon also revealed that the First Division already dismissed 45 petitions for registration of partylist.
She added that "many did not have the Manifestation of Intent to Participate in the 2022 elections."
The filing of petitions for registration of partylist for the May 2022 polls ended March 31.
