CBCP News said the Bishop-elect will be ordained and installed as bishop in a Mass at 9 a.m. at the San Isidro Labrador Cathedral.

The schedule of his installation was announced Friday, July 9, during the last day of the bishops’ 122nd online plenary assembly.

Pedregosa, the current rector of the cathedral, has been serving as the administrator of the diocese which has been vacant since August 2020.

The celebration will take place in accord with social distancing rules that are in place in Malaybalay due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The event will be livestreamed on the Facebook page of the diocese and the cathedral.

It was on June 29 when Pope Francis appointed Pedregosa as bishop of Malaybalay.

Pedregosa, the fifth bishop of Malaybalay, will succeed Archbishop Jose Cabantan of Cagayan de Oro.
