Sulong Pasay to help 100 new graduates find jobs – Mayor Emi

Non-government organization Sulong Pasay will help around 100 new college graduates and youth find jobs, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said Thursday.

According to the mayor, the lead convenor of Sulong Pasay, Sergio Ortiz- Luis, Jr., informed her that the PhilExport, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Employer’s Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) will help the new graduates and young residents undergo on-the-job (OJT) training in companies from various industries and later find jobs for them.

Rubiano said the city’s Public Employment and Services Office (PESO) will coordinate with Sulong Pasay for the employment program.

She added that aside from the new graduates, the Sulong Pasay will also assist Pasay residents who were displaced by the pandemic.

The lady mayor said that the organization’s commitment to give more job opportunities to residents would help lessen the unemployment rate in the city.
