Mark Magsayo couldn’t hide the huge smile on his face when boxing legend Manny Pacquiao arrived at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles, California on Monday, June 5 there.
Magsayo, who considers the 42-year-old Pacquiao as the reason why he pursued boxing, was all smiles and very proud to have witnessed his idol working the mitts with trainers Freddie Roach and Buboy Fernandez.
As seen on his vlog, Magsayo said the presence of Pacquiao was a quick motivation for him to exert effort on his training.
Observing from the sidelines, the Tagbilaran, Bohol native boxer noticed that the fighting senator still remains explosive and agile during his training session.
Also present in the gym was Sean Gibbons, the president of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, who handed out their boxing equipment.
“With my idol,” wrote Magsayo, posting a photo of him and the eight-division world boxing champion.
The 26-year-old Magasayo signed with MP Promotions in March last year, joining the likes of Filipino world boxing champions John Riel Casimero (WBO welterweight) and Jerwin Ancajas (IBF super flyweight)
Magsayo, who remained unbeaten in 22 matches on top of 15 knockouts, last saw action in April with a technical knockout win over American foe Pablo Cruz in Connecticut.
He got his debut win with MP Promotions against another American in Rigoberto Hermosilla via split decision in LA last October.
