DOST to launch special edition of TekNegoShow to attract more technology adopters


The Department of Science and Technology-Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) is expected to launch on Thursday, July 8, its special edition of online business talk show to attract more businesses to adopt its developed technologies.

The DOST-ITDI announced that the launch of the TekNegoShow Special Edition will be held on July 8, at 9 a.m.

DOST-ITDI Director Dr. Annabelle V. Briones expressed hopes that with the launch of TekNegoShow Special Edition, more businesses will be interested in adopting ITDI-developed technologies and will be availing themselves of their various testing services.

The special edition is expected to feature four technologies and two newly-opened research facilities geared toward augmenting business-coping mechanisms of industries to the current coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis.

"TekNegoShow Special Edition will air narratives and insights of technology generators, business people, and the consuming public. This way ITDI can provide the public virtual experience of the technology and a way to interact with technology generators and companies that have adopted these or made use of the facilities,” the Institute said.

Expected to attend the launch are personalities with known interests in industrial technology and prospective adopters on the following technologies: I- Salt processing technology; Abaca fiber-reinforced composite; Nanoclay production; Biodegradable plastic; Multi-Industry Modular Innovation Center or MMIC; and Development of Multiple Materials Platform for Additive Manufacturing Project or MATDEV-AMCen.

The DOST-ITDI said will broadcast six episodes beginning July 8, every Thursday at 1:30 a.m. via Facebook TekNegoShow and Youtube ITDI DOST.

The online science-business talk show is produced by DOST-ITDI’s Technological Services Division, through its Information and Documentation. Its maiden episode started on October 22, 2020.
