Introducing Puregold Channel’s star-studded first digital show ‘GVBOYS: Pangmalakasang Good Vibes'

Looking to revive the 90’s sitcom era, Puregold Channel wants every viewer to get a blast from the past with their first ever digital series “GVBOYS: Pangmalakasang Good Vibes."

During its exclusive virtual conference, recognized director Don Cuaresma shared that this was a brainchild by Puregold President Vincent Co. He explained that Vincent was a big fan of 90’s sitcom shows back in the day. This led to them conceptualizing a sitcom show that ticks all the boxes of the successful 90’s sitcom shows.

"GVBOYS: Pangmalakasang Good Vibes" is Puregold Channel’s first digital series and the newest addition to the exciting roster of shows. It will tell a story of 3 male boarders who live in a boarding house.

The show stars three of today's hottest and most exciting leading men—Jerome Ponce, who will star as Jawo which is short for Jaworski, an eye-candy, celebrity wanna-be. Nikko Natividad, who will play the role of Dax, the street smart and “chick-boy” of the group and lastly, Dave Bornea as Zeus who is an amboy that just recently moved back to the Philippines and is also hiding a big secret.

Besides the 3 lead roles, joining the star-studded show are Carmi Martin who will portray as Aling Pearly—the half Korean landlord of the boarding house, Wilma Doesnt who plays the role of Loisa Soberano, and Elsa Droga who will play as Kathryn B, Aling Pearly’s younger sibling.

Directed by veteran director, Don Cuaresma, "GVBOYS: Pangmalakasang Good Vibes" will have eight episode drops with 2 special episodes. The digital series can be streamed online for free on Puregold Channel's Facebook and YouTube pages starting July 10, 7PM.

It is a coming of age story of three housemates. Each episode highlights relatable adventures, antics, and life experiences.

"Puregold Channel is dedicated to our loyal customers. This is our way of rewarding and staying in touch with them outside the stores. This is Puregold’s thrust, to strengthen the future of retail through strong engagement and digital footprint," said Puregold Price Club Inc. President Vincent Co.

Since the launch of Puregold Channel late last year, the supermarket giant has come up with engaging content for people of all ages. Among the shows the channel has put up are a game show "Playtime Panalo" with Luis Manzano, a talk show "Sabado Bago Live"  co-hosted by Boy Abunda and Gretchen Ho, a stand-up comedy show “The Ha Ha Hour” hosted by Alex Calleja and a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gaming tournament “Puregold Esports Live”.
