Ikea launched the "Love Seats" which include 10 designs inspired by the colours of different Pride flags to celebrate individuals who are pansexual, transgender, lesbian, asexual, bisexual, nonbinary, gender fluid and two spirit.

“The Love Seats serve as a platform upon which members and allies of the 2SLGBTQ+ community can feel safe to share their love stories with the world — whether those stories are about self-love, romantic love, family love, chosen love or community love,” the company said in a news release.

All ten Love Seat slipcovers were handcrafted by one of four designers active in the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Several social media users, meanwhile, were quick to react to the new product and some has stirred debate.

"I am haunted by the bisexual ikea couch," one user tweeted.

Another user edited a photo of the design calling it a "horror movie prop." "Obsessed with how the bisexual Ikea couch turns into a horror movie prop when you change the text and colors around a little," the user said in its caption.
