Edgar Mortiz's son lectures netizens 'bitter' with Bea Alonzo's network transfer

It seems like former ABS-CBN director Frasco Mortiz is fed up with fans squabbling over Bea Alonzo's recent decision to sign with GMA.

"Ba’t ang daming bitter? Basta ako, I’m happy for Bea Alonzo. (heart emoji) #ProudToBEAKapuso," he declared on Twitter.

In another tweet, the son of seasoned director-comedian Edgar Mortiz noted how there are more important issues to tackle beyond ABS-CBN and GMA's alleged "war."

"Ang dami-daming dapat problemahin inuuna pa ang network wars. 20 years ago pa nauso yan, ibahin niyo na ngayon. Imbes na manghila pababa, matuwa na lang sa bagong karera ng mga idolo niyo, mapa-Kapamilya, Kapuso o Kapatid pa yan," he related.

Frasco pointed out that the least people can do is be "happy" and wish the former Kapamilya the "best."

"Sobrang liit ng industry para maghilahan pababa, lalo na sa panahon ngayon," he said.

"Yep, dun po ako galing, worked there for almost 20 years. Ikaw ba pag nagtrabaho ka sa isang kompanya, tapos pag-alis mo ang maririnig mo is 'walang loyalty,' 'walang utang na loob' matutuwa ka? We served wholeheartedly, we gave our all," he ended.

Note that a few months ago, the known director of ABS-CBN sitcoms and TV dramas made his directorial debut on GMA-7 via the long-running gag show, "Bubble Gang."
