TUBA, Benguet – Three suspected hijackers killed in an encounter with policemen on Marcos Highway here last June 30 were identified by their relatives Thursday, July 2.
Police Regional Office-Cordillera director Police Brig. Gen. Ronald Oliver Lee said the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Crime Laboratory Service is still examining the other two suspected hijackers killed in the encounter.
Lee said the suspect who was wearing a PNP athletic T-shirt, camouflage green pants, and black leather shoes was identified by his mother as her son David Dassala Rapal Jr., 40, of San Fernando City, Pampanga.
According to his mother, he was fetched by a man identified as Ryan Pangilinan at their residence in San Fernando City at about 11:30 a.m. on June 28 and never returned home since then.
The suspect who was wearing a pink T-shirt and light blue maong pants was identified by his sister as her younger brother Ryan Amurao Pangilinan, 41, truck driver, of Mexico, Pampanga.
According to his sister, he went to work in the morning of June 28 and also never returned home since then.
The third suspect who was wearing an orange T-shirt and maong pants was identified by his brother as his younger brother Relly Amurao Castillo, 43, of Arayat, Pampanga.
According to his brother Marcial, Relly informed him that he will work as a truck helper of Pangilinan on June 27. Like the other two, Relly also never returned home.
At about 9:30 p.m. July 2, David’s remains were brought home by his relatives to their residence in San Fernando City while the cadavers of Ryan and Relly have been taken by their kin to their residence in Arayat.
