
Bernie “Benok” Regalario made waves by besting top players from other countries in the recent Cue Sport Live International Pool League’s (CSLIPL) 9-Ball Ghost Tournament.
The 16-year-old player--a member of the Wilde Blu Junior Team and the first Filipino pro player sponsored by Peri Cues--topped the 17-and-under juniors division of the tournament sanctioned by the Billiards Congress of America.
The CSLIPL is a pool league intended to showcase billiards at all skill levels, varying from amateur to professional on an international stage. Regalario was the overall champion of the online pool event and a role model to his co-athletes in the Philippines and now even abroad.
His daily practices of “fighting a ghost” prepared him gradually for this pivotal event in his life as an athlete. His fans believe that there is something more in store for him. Regalario’s commitment to enhance his skills and show it with passion made a big difference in his life as an athlete.
Regalario received his prize of a custom JB Case, CSLIPL junior jersey, Q Claw, Predator Chalk, and a towel. His rigorous practice and perseverance gave him this decisive victory. The future is bright for this young billiard talent and with proper support and more rigorous trainings, there would be more triumphs in store for him.
