Three Africans allegedly engaged in illegal drug trade were arrested during a police raid that initially targeted their compatriot at Homesite, Barangay Duquit in Mabalacat City, Pampanga on Wednesday, June 30.
Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (DILG) and the local police implemented a search warrant at a house occupied by one Enzo Omgba, an African.
The search warrant was issued by a court against Omgba for violation of Republic Act 10591 (The Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), police said.
Omgba, however, managed to flee on board a beige Hyundai Tucson (TOQ 865) during the raid. The police officers instead apprehended his cohorts identified as Prosper Henr Junior Essomba Mbarga, Flavien Jerome Noah Omgba, and Yves Emmanuel Bisias Wanko, reportedly all engaged in drug pushing.
Seized from the suspects were a .45-caliber Colt MK IV pistol, a .380-caliber pistol, magazines and ammunition, five plastic sachets containing 15 grams of shabu, two plastic sachets containing 5 grams of marijuana, and 45 pieces of suspected ecstasy tablet worth around P250,000.00.
Charges for violation of RA 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 will be filed against the suspects before the Prosecutor’s Office, according to the police.
