TNC, Execration, other PH teams vie for lone The International 10 slot in brutal SEA qualifier

Dota 2 Major participants TNC Predator, Execration and OB x Neon Esports as well as three other Filipino squads will battle it out for the coveted The International 10 (TI10) slot in the bloody Southeast Asia qualifier that gets going on Wednesday, June 30.

A total of 15 teams will dispute the lone SEA ticket to the TI10 which boasts of the highest prize pool in esports history at more than $40 million (nearly P2 billion).

The winner will become the second representative of the well-hyped region next to the Carlo "Kuku" Palad-led T1, which secured a direct invite in the WePlay AniMajor wherein they finished third earlier this month.

AniMajor top eight finisher TNC will fire off the action in the upper bracket against its former offlaner Damien "kpii" Chok and his Team SMG that also has Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng and Kam "Moon" Boon Seng.

Execration, which played in the wildcard stage of the Major in Kiev, Ukraine, will lock horns with Boom Esports of Indonesia at 2 p.m.

Smart Omega will clash against Fnatic headed by the Filipino duo of Djardel "Dj" Mampusti and Polo "Raven" Fausto at 5 p.m.

Closing out the action-packed opening day is ONE Esports Singapore Major top six finisher OB x Neon Esports taking on Motivate Trust Gaming which features Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong and Natthaphon "Masaros" Ouanphakdee.

In the lower bracket, Cignal Ultra and ex-South Built Esports will engage in a civil war at 5 p.m.

The other lower bracket matches pit 496 Gaming against Army Geniuses at 11 a.m. and Galaxy Racer versus Team Mystery at 2 p.m. while Lilgun has earned a bye to the second round.

All matches are in a best-of-three format except for the grand finals on Saturday which is best-of-five.
