'One last photo': Ex-Cabinet members pay last respects to PNoy

Members of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III's Cabinet gathered on Friday night, June 25, to pay their last respects for the Philippine's former chief executive.

Clad in yellow, black, white, and wearing face masks, the president's former Cabinet members posed for a photo for the last time with Aquino, whose remains will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 26.

"One last picture with President Noynoy," Senator Joel Villanueva wrote on Twitter, posting a photo of former officials in Aquino's Cabinet at the Ateneo de Manila University's House of Gesu in Quezon City.

Villanueva served as Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA) head during the Aquino administration.

Among others, also seen in the photo were former Executive Secretary Paquito "Jojo" Ochoa Jr., Presidential Communications Operations Office secretary Herminio "Sonny" Coloma, former senator and Department of Interior and Local Government secretary Manuel "Mar" Roxas II, and former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) secretary Corazon "Dinky" Soliman.

Former Department of Education (DepEd) secretary Armin Luistro and former Commission on Higher Education (CHED) chair Patricia Licuanan also posed with Villanueva.

Aquino, the 15th President of the Philippines, died in his sleep Thursday morning, June 24, due to renal failure secondary to diabetes. He was 61.

The former Chief Executive will be laid to rest next to his parents, former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino and former senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.
