Taking to Instagram on Thursday using @_paufajardo, Fajardo said she has not spoken since rumors came out in the hopes of settling things privately and because "the issue is very much a personal matter."

Fajardo added that she did not feel the need of releasing any statement since "after all, I never regarded myself as some sort of public figure, much less a celebrity."

"That said, I am deeply hurt," said Fajardo, "I ended a long-term relationship with the man I was ready to spend the rest of my life with. To say it has been heartbreaking is an understatement.

"But I am now making the conscious decision to move forward with my life."

Fajardo, later on, said sorry for the inconvenience the issue has caused to some people and also thanked the ones who were supportive and for those "who felt that they needed to defend me" amid the issue.

Fajardo said this will be the last time that she will be addressing the issue, concluding the post on a positive note: Do not worry, I will be better. Be positive. Be kind. Be true.

There have been rumors circulating already regarding their breakup but it was only over the week that reports from multiple media outlets have started to surface.

Thompson, in a now-deleted Facebook post, also confirmed that they have called it quits after the long-time couple of eight years got engaged on New Year's Eve.
