Filipino teams Smart Omega and Cignal Ultra are going all-in to snatch the lone coveted spot to The International 10 (TI10) as they bolstered their respective rosters for the brutal Southeast Asia regional qualifier set on June 30-July 3.

Omega tapped the services of Cebuano coach Chris Ian Francis "CTY" Maldo on Thursday night, June 24.

CTY served as the coach of LGD International which featured now-Execration mid laner Yuri Dave "Yowe" Pacaña and ex-Omega carry Christian "Skadilicious" Abasolo. He also briefly mentored Thailand-based team MS Chonburi before moving to Vice Esports.

CTY steered Vice to a successful qualifying campaign for the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 1 SEA Upper Division. However, Vice ended up at the bottom two and was relegated to the Lower Division.

Team owner Weiss “Vice” Cuevas later confirmed to Manila Bulletin that they dropped the roster led by CTY and veteran Joshua "Samael" Dela Serna (also known as Owa).

Known for cultivating Dota 2 rising stars mainly in Cebu, CTY also worked as the coach of now Omega standouts Justine "Tino" Grimaldo and Mark "Shanks" Redira. Completing the squad are veteran Samson "Sam_H" Hidalgo, Mc Nicholson "Mac" Villanueva, Bryle "cml" Alvizo and analyst Josef "JL" Brazal.

Omega will face Fnatic in the upper bracket to start their campaign in the 15-team SEA qualifier.

Meanwhile, Cignal re-signed 10K MMR carry Denz Daryll "Abat" Anedez for the qualifying tournament where they will first tangle with ex-South Built Esports in the lower bracket.

Abat previously posted "LFT" (looking for team) after a disappointing match back in DPC Season 1 Closed Qualifier Stage 2 and went AWOL in the next three games.

Despite the absence of the 22-year-old spitfire carry, Cignal was able to enter the Lower Division. Abat eventually returned but the Warriors fell short of a promotion after finishing third behind Mongolia's Lilgun and Omega.

Abat parted ways with Cignal and filled the void left by now-Execration carry Jinn "Palos" Lamatao in South Built (ex-Vice) for the Season 2 Lower Division.

Once again, Abat was not able to climb to the Upper Division as South Built wound up third behind Motivate.Trust Gaming led by 12K MMR carry Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong and Team SMG headed by Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng.
