TACLOBAN CITY – A couple’s story has gone viral after they posted their wedding photo and reminisced on social media how their love story started nine years ago.
"Nanhuram la hin kabu, yana asawa ko na. (She just borrowed a dipper from us, now she's my wife)," Jolo Sudario Argales, 31, shares how he and his wife Rain Capuyan Argales, 30, both from Leyte first met in Cebu where they are now based.
She was already working in a business process outsourcing (BPO) company then, while Jolo was working in a restaurant.
Out of Rain's curiosity to meet Jolo's cousin whom her roommate described as a handsome model in Cebu, she borrowed a dipper from their board mate.
"I really needed the dipper because we just moved in. We needed to clean the toilet. My roommate just tricked me into borrowing the dipper," Rain shared.
Since then, her roommate has been teasing and matching her with Jolo where they initially became friends and eventually, a couple.
"It was not love at first sight but eventually I fell in love with him when I got to know him better," Rain said.
Jolo, a sterilization technician in a hospital and Rain, who is now a supervisor in a BPO company, recently got married on June 16 in civil wedding rites.
"We wanted a church wedding but we are still saving up for it so we just decided to push through with a civil rite. Hopefully, we'll have the church wedding by 2023," she added.
They are blessed with two children ages 5 and 2, while Rain is now pregnant with their third child.
