On Tuesday, June 22, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Spokesman James Jimenez reminded qualified voters that there are only 100 days to go before the last day of voter registration.

“Good morning patriots. We’ve only got a hundred days to go before the voter registration period ends on September 30, 2021,” he said on Twitter.

“If you haven’t yet, aba! #MagparehistroKa na! (register),” added Jimenez.

Those who wish to register may do so from Mondays to Fridays at the Office of the Election Officer or in satellite registration sites from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Last month, the poll body has urged the public to already register and not wait for the last minute especially amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

“It’s important to register early. The problem before was its already crowded at the end,” Jimenez said.

“In the Philippines, we have a tendency to be buzzer beaters. So we expect that many will come near the end once again,” he added.
