Pokwang turns off comment section of Instagram after network jump

Comedienne Pokwang is not letting naysayers ruin her latest milestone.

On Instagram, Pokwang turned off the comment section to prevent bashers from spreading negativity on her social media account.

She deemed those haters as "negative" people who are narrow-minded and were trying to be wise.

"I just want to be happy while working for my family and makes my avid supporters entertained as well," she said in Filipino. "Thank you to those who can understand."

In the same post, she also expressed gratefulness to GMA Network for the warm welcome.

The actress is looking forward to her upcoming projects with them.

In 2020, Pokwang said it was a tough decision to transfer to TV5 after being part of ABS-CBN for more than a decade.

The 50-year-old star recalled that her mother network informed her in advance that she will lose her contract if the broadcasting company will be shut down due to franchise issue.

She then transferred to TV5 where she was tapped as one of the hosts of the morning talk show “Chika, Besh!” along with Ria Atayde and Pauleen Luna. It aired until January this year.
