Black Eyed Peas, others to get stars on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas is the latest musical group to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the 2022 ho honors.

Composed of apl.de.ap, will.i.am and Taboo, the group will be joined by other celebrities in the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio, Recording, and the newest category Sports Entertainment, as selected by the Walk of Fame Selection Panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Other honorees in the recording category, are DJ Khaled, Avril Lavigne, and Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom (posthumous).

According to the organization, the 38 honorees were chosen from among hundreds of nominations to the committee at a meeting held on June 14 and ratified by the Hollywood Chamber’s Board of Directors on June 16.

Dates have not been scheduled for the star ceremonies. Recipients have two years to schedule star ceremonies from the date of selection before they expire, they added.

Chair and Walk of Famer Ellen K said: "The Panel did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can't wait to see each honoree's reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood's history with the unveiling of their star on the world's most famous walkway!"
