The local government unit (LGU) of Makati City has forged a vaccination partnership with the private sector with the opening of a vaccination center for around 15,000 residents and workers of Rockwell Land.

Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay thanked Rockwell Land for partnering with the LGU to put up the facility inside the Power Plant Mall according to the standards set by the Department of Health (DOH).
“We applaud the management of Rockwell Land Corporation for taking part in this strategic collaboration which has resulted in the rapid setup of a vaccination site for their residents and employees right inside the mall. With safer and more convenient access, they are confident Rockwell can achieve 100 percent vaccination rate in no time,” the mayor said in a statement released on Friday (June 18).
Binay said the local government provided the vaccines and logistics, including the needed medical supplies and cold chain storage.
Meanwhile, Rockwell has provided the vaccination team through its healthcare provider, Reliance United, along with the venue and tables, chairs and other equipment.
The mayor urged businesses in the city to register their employees for vaccination under Category 4A through the website makatibusiness.safemakati.com. The requirements include the company’s Business ID and a complete list of employees to be vaccinated, among others.
In addition, she said the LGU is now going “full blast” with the vaccination of individuals under the A4 category at the vaccination sites in Glorietta 5 and San Lorenzo Place malls.
“We call on business owners and managers to prioritize the registration of their employees so they can avail themselves of the free vaccines and be safer at work,” she said.
On June 4, Binay announced that private companies must comply with DOH standards in setting up their own vaccination sites.
Under City Ordinance No. 2021-094, private entities that want to apply for their vaccination site registration must submit the requirements to the Office of the City Administrator together with their contact information.
