Team Robredo organizes community feeding program on June 19
A group of volunteers are coming together again, this time, to support Vice President Leni Robredo’s initiatives in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Members of a group called Team Leni Robredo will hold a community feeding program nationwide on Saturday, June 19.

“This is one way of supporting VP Leni’s initiatives to help our countrymen during this time of pandemic,” said Jover Laurio, one the group’s volunteer coordinators.
Laurio, also known as the blogger behind Pinoy Ako Blog, added that Team Leni Robredo identified various areas for its community feeding program but it will be announced at a later date.
This is the second activity organized by Robredo’s supporters a week after the group was launched on Independence Day following opposition coalition 1Sambayan‘s announcement that she is among the six nominees for its national slate in 2022.
On Saturday, June 12, the TLR held an online event, participated by celebrities and artists, to back Robredo and her possible presidential bid next year.

Laurio also encouraged her fellow Robredo supporters to organize their own community feeding program in their respective areas for the benefit of more people.
Those interested must first sign up through TLR’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/teamlenirobred) so they can be contacted by a TLR member.
“They should look for a good place where to conduct their community feeding activity and tap various sectors to help in the endeavor,” the blogger said.
They can tap non-government organizations, civil society groups, youth groups, church-based and faith-based groups and other civic groups for assistance, she added.
Team Leni Robredo is composed of supporters and volunteers from the youth, women, senior citizens, urban poor, farmers and fisher folk and health workers sectors. They believe that only the vice president has the capability to unite a divided nation and solve the country’s woes.
