Driver, call center agent nabbed in buy-bust ops, yields P340K worth of shabu

DAGUPAN CITY — Two high value targets (HVT) from the province of Tarlac were arrested following a buy-bust operation by authorities here on Monday night, June 14.

The joint operation, led by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Dagupan City PNP nabbed John Ervin Guiao, 26, a driver, and Arvie Flores, 27, call center agent, both residents of Barangay San Sebastian, San Vicente town.

Authorities under disguise, bought three transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing ten grams, worth P52,000.

The duo was immediately arrested following the transaction in front of a hotel in Barangay Tapuac.

Further search on the suspects' belongings yielded nine more plastic sachets containing shabu weighing around 43 grams, combined marked and boodle money used in the operation, some drug paraphernalia, and a Toyota Fortuner used as their transportation.

The shabu weighs a total of 53 grams, and is worth around P340,000 in DDB Value.

Investigation reveals the suspects operate in Pangasinan, specifically going to Dagupan City to drop their supplies to local drug peddlers here.

The suspects are currently under police custody, while charges in violation of Republic Act 9165 have been filed against them.
