Call center agent yields P2.3-M shabu in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Authorities seized on Sunday some P2.3 million worth of illegal drugs from a call center agent here.


Col. Jaime Santos, provincial director of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO), said the arrested suspect was identified as Sheryl Santos, 43, and a resident of Barangay Hulo, Sto. Domingo in this province.

Santos said the joint elements of Cabanatuan City Police Station and Sto. Domingo Municipal Police Station nabbed the suspect in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay Aduas Norte in this city.


Confiscated from the suspect were three-knot tied transparent plastic packs containing shabu, 11 pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu weighing about 345 grams with an estimated street value of some P2.346 million, two P500 bills marked money, and two pieces digital weighing scales.

The arrested suspect is now facing charges for violation of sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
