Cyril Ticao, regional director of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE Region 6), said the Kalayaan 2021 Online Job Fair has more than 30 local companies participating.
DOLE Region 6 has a partnership with mynimo.com for the online job fair that was tweaked as active cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) here reached 10,406 as of Friday, June 11.
Ticao said the job openings may help those who have lost jobs since the pandemic began last year. The local jobs are open for residents of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
But before applying, job seekers have to open an account and register via https://www.mynimo.com/dole6applicants.
Meanwhile, DOLE-Region 6 has an online seminar with experts from different sectors. Speakers include Raji Alvarado of the Regional Council for the Welfare of Children-Western Visayas; Jessraf Palmares of the Iloilo Federation for Information Technology; Francis Gentoral of the Iloilo Economic Development Foundation (ILED); Mutya Eusores of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Charity Delmo of Ideal Visa Consultancy; Pauli Grace Ong of DOLE’s Bureau of Working Conditions; and Ahmma Charisma Satumba of DOLE’s Institute for Labor Studies.
