“Sa ating event, ilalatag ng mga kapwa-volunteer natin ang mga adhikain at adbokasiya ng ating samahan (In our event, our co-volunteers will lay down our goals and advocacies of our group),” the group said in its event page on Facebook.

There will be performances by artists and bands, among them are Gracenote, Moonstar88, Banda ni Kleggy, Audie Gemora, Juris, 6CycleMind, Louie Ocampo’s all-star cast, and Bituin Escalante.

The event, which will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, will be hosted by Miss Trans Global 2020 Mela Habijan.

“Tayo na't itaguyod ang isang kilusang kakampi ng mga ordinaryong Pilipino, magbibigay ng pag-asa, at magtutulak ng pagkakaisa para sa paghilom ng ating bansa (Let us all promote a movement that is an ally of the ordinary Filipino, will give hope, and will push for unity toward the healing of our country),” the group said.

Harvey Keh, a close friend of the Robredos and the lead convenor of the Kaya Natin! Movement, said he will attend the virtual event on the Team Leni Robredo Facebook page.

“I’m supporting VP whatever she decides—President or gov(ernor),” Keh said.

He was referring to the vice president‘s rumored plans to seek the gubernatorial post in her home province of Camarines Sur instead of running as president in 2022. Robredo said she has yet to make a decision about her political plans.

Bernice Ner, an avid supporter of the vice president, told the Manila Bulletin that she’s going to vote for Robredo because she’s “a breath of fresh air.”

“We rarely see politicians who actually make it a point to reach out to the people they serve. VP Leni has been doing that since her time in Congress. We’ve seen her do that again and again in the past year as we face the pandemic,” she said.

“I’ve seen her programs. I know people who her programs have helped. Her office received the highest audit rating from COA (Commission on Audit). I can go on and on but the point is that finally, here is someone who we can rally behind. She acts. She believes in accountability. For me, she is hope personified.”

As of posting time, the United for 2022 event page on Facebook, has 3,000 responses—759 going and 2,300 interested.
