QC gov't to set up special lanes for A1-A3 categories at vaccination sites

The Quezon City government will have special lanes for individuals under the A1 (frontliners), A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (persons with comorbidities) categories at the city’s vaccination sites.



Mayor Joy Belmonte said they will have the special lanes for the A1-A3 groups to give way to the A4 category or the economical frontliners.



“We intend to have special vaccine sites just dedicated to A1-A3 particularly the A2s tingin ko kailangan pa natin talagang mag-arangkada ng ating campaign para sa kanila so we will definitely have sites for them and specific lanes for them,” Belmonte said in an interview with CNN on Thursday.



Meanwhile, the city government is planning to have two shift vaccine schedules for individuals under the A4 category.



“Were intending to have two shifts para sa mga A4s natin pag talagang full blown mass vaccination na po ang gagawin natin (Were intending to have two shifts for our A4s once we have a full blown mass vaccination) ,” she said.



“Meron tayong shifts hanggang midnight para dun sa mga tao na kapag nag-absent sila mawawalan ng sweldo, ayaw naman natin mangyari ‘yun kaya we would like to increase the options for them (We have shifts until midnight for those people who will lose their salary when they get absent from work, we don't want that to happen so we would like to increase the options for them),” she added.



The city mayor also said that they are eyeing to park the QC Protektodo vaccine buses in talipapas (wet markets) to vaccinate the vendors and toda (tricycle) drivers.
