BACOOR CITY, Cavite - The city government here broke ground for an in-city resettlement site on Tuesday (June 8) which will accommodate informal settlers from the Bacoor Bay coastal easement.
The 4.7-hectare Ciudad Kaunlaran resettlement site will house four-storey medium-rise buildings with 1,800 residential units in total.
The local government hopes that the resettlement site will give relocatees, especially the youth, a chance to live peacefully in a quiet and secured community.
The in-city resettlement site is funded by the National Housing Authority (NHA).
According to Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla, the ground-breaking ceremony is an infrastructure project to kickstart Bacoor's ninth cityhood anniversary this month.
