Police Major Angelo P. Casilana, chief of police here, said the landslide occurred at 2 a.m. and affected 31 individuals.
No casualties were reported and residents of the nine houses were brought to a safer place.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council here conducted immediate response and appropriate action.
However, some residents were puzzled why a landslide happened when there was no rain the past days.
“Wala naman pong ulan noong araw na iyon kaya kami po ay nagtataka (We were surprised that a landslide occurred as it did not rain that day),” a resident said.
“Katatapos lang din ng iba na magawa ang kanilang bahay, kasama sa gumuho, nakakatakot at nakakabahala (Others had just finished constructing their houses which were buried in the landslide. It’s scary and alarming),” another resident said.
