Bianca Pagdanganan cheered for teammate Yuka Saso on her way to a historic 2021 US Women’s Open title by documenting some highlights in the final round at The Olympic Club on Sunday (Monday in Manila).

Pagdanganan posted photos and videos on her Instagram account as she tailed after Saso’s flight, including the pulsating three-hole playoff against Japan’s Nasa Hataoka.

In one of the videos she posted where Saso can be seen riding a golf cart after her victory, Pagdanganan can be heard cheering, “Let’s go, Yuka bebs. I love you!”

Pagdanganan can also be seen giving Saso a fist bump early in the round.

"She a fighter!" Pagdanganan later wrote with a picture of the scoreboard after Saso bounced back from two double bogeys early in the round en route to forcing a playoff with Hataoka.

Saso and Pagdanganan were known to carry the Philippines to a team gold at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia along with teammate Lois Kaye Go.

Saso also won the individual gold in that quadrennial meet.

Both Saso and Pagdanganan are also tipped to earn berths to the Tokyo Games based on their current Olympic World Rankings. Saso is at 22nd while Pagdanganan is at 41st.

The top 60 female players by June 28 will earn Olympic spots.

Saso became the first Filipino to win a major golf tournament and also tied Korean Inbee Park as the youngest champion in the tournament at 19 years, 11 years and 17 days.
