LOOK: Cebu Pacific flight brings home 1M Sinovac jabs


Cebu Pacific airlines (CEB) carried another batch of one million doses of Sinovac Biotech Ltd.-manufactured vaccines from Beijing to Manila on Sunday, June 6.

The vaccines were safely flown in temperature-controlled containers aboard CEB's chartered A330 flight 5J671. It arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City at 7:35 a.m.

This was the fourth shipment of anti-coronavirus disease (COVID-19) jabs to be picked up by CEB in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH).

“We remain optimistic that the continuous airlifting of these life-saving vaccines will pave the way in inoculating a sizeable amount of the population. We appreciate the support of Cebu Pacific and other Philippine carriers in this mission of distributing COVID-19 vaccine supplies even to the far regions of the archipelago,” National Task Force Against COVID-19 (NTF) chief implementer, Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. said.

Sinovac vaccines carry the brand name CoronaVac.
