Ten Filipino young scientists who are mostly members of the academe have made it to the list of National Academy of Science and Technology's (NAST) “Outstanding Young Scientist” awardees.
The NAST PHL, an attached agency of the Department of Science and Technology serving as"country’s premier recognition and advisory body on science and technology (S&T), congratulated the year’s recipients of the OYS Award.

The state-funded academy said the OYS Award is given to young Filipino scientists "who have made significant contributions to science and technology.”
The recipients must not be more than 40 years old in the year of the awarding.
