Food brands and netizens show support on Jollibee finding truth behind 'fried towel'

Netizens share moments of joy

Jollibee Chickenjoy

As homegrown fast food restaurant Jollibee investigates the "fried towel" incident that came from one of its BGC branches, netizens are quick to speculate that what happened may be a sabotage. While the food brand has yet to confirm how the inedible "Chickenjoy" ended up being delivered, brands and netizens air their support on Jollibee amid the controversy.

Tom Sawyer's Fried Chicken restaurant sets aside food rivalry and releases a statement about Jollibee's supposed "fowl play."

"On bee-half of all fellow lovers and purveyors of great fried chicken, Tom's Sawyer's expresses its support to our esteemed competitor's quest to find the truth behind the current issue," it posted.

Food stand Monster Wings posted a photo of its mascot with the iconic bee character, the two shaking their hands with a caption, "We don't celebrate the misery of others. You will always be our friend, our idol, our role model in the franchise industry."

Noted Filipino chef JP Anglo posted a photo of the beloved Chickenjoy describing it as "the fried chicken that always gives me joy!"

Former crew and fans of Jollibee took it to social media to support the fast food brand. From posting cherished Chickenjoy memories to how the restaurant gave them their initial job opportunities, their message is united—no matter what happens, Jollibee will still be their "bida" when it comes to fried chicken.

How about you? What's your best Chickenjoy moment?
