In an advisory on Friday, June 4, the Comelec said these areas are in the Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental; and Ifugao province.

"No voter registration but open for applications for voter certification," it read.

In a separate advisory, the Comelec also announced the physical closure of all offices in the City of Santiago, Isabela; province of Cagayan; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Butuan City, Agusan del Sur; and provinces of Benguet and Apayao from June 1 to 15.

It cited the MECQ as reason.

As of April, the Comelec said, there are around 59 million registered voters.

During the 2019 polls, there were more than 61 million voters.

The voter registration period for the May 2022 polls will run until Sept. 30, 2021.
