P7.5-M Clark condo robbery suspect nabbed

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – A suspect in a P7.5-million robbery here was arrested by the police a few hours after he and his two cohorts held up the tenants of a condominium at the Clark Freeport Zone in this city last week.

Central Luzon police director Police Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon identified the suspect as Richard Dangayan, a former driver of one of the victims.

Dangayan’s cohorts, according to De Leon, remain at large but a follow-up operation is being carried out for their arrest.

Pampanga police director Police Col. Arnold Ibay said the trio are main suspects in a robbery incident in a condominium at Clark Hills.

The victims, identified as Keren Rose Maninggo, Gihun Lee, and Seonjun Park, were handcuffed at gunpoint and their belongings and valuables totaling P7.5 million were forcibly taken from them.

Taken from them were P1,900 cash, five million Korean won, one Rolex wrist watch submariner worth P1 million, one Tiffany gold bracelet worth P500,000, one Samsung Thom Browne cellular phone worth P180,000, one gold plated Rolex Ditona wrist watch worth P2 million, one Louis Vuitton travelling bag worth P150,000, one Louis Vuitton shoulder bag worth P135,000, one Cartier Gold Ring worth P85,000, one gold ring with diamond worth P35,000, one Gucci baseball cap worth P28,000, and one BPI ATM card and cash amounting to P25,000.

The Mabalacat police conducted an in-depth investigation following the robbery that led to the identification of the suspects and immediate arrest of Dangayan, who is now facing robbery charges.
