Public, private sectors urged to strengthen technological innovations for better pandemic response
Public and private sectors are urged to prioritize digitizing information, technological innovations, and access to healthcare services to improve the country's coronavirus disease (COVID-19) response.

BluePrint.PH Chief Executive Officer Eero Brillantes said public and private sector groups have partnered since the pandemic gripped the world in raising the quality of healthcare in the country, as variants of concern continue to emerge and threaten the lives of millions of Filipinos.
"The best strategy is to invest more in the digitization of the health care sector as directed already by President Rodrigo Duterte and the Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID Management and linking health care with the public so they could access medical services without raising the level of risk," Brillantes said.
BluePrint.Ph, a data management and political communications and consultancy agency, will hold its first Data Newsroom Series on June 9, with a webinar on the importance of the ongoing digitization of the healthcare sector.
Maridol Ylanan, Head of Strategy and Marketing for Small and Medium Business, said the Globe Business is leading strategic partnerships and collaborations with the country's healthcare sector to implement the right digital solutions for efficient transactions and services.
“We believe that strategic alliances and collaborations are critical in establishing digital innovations in the healthcare sector, achieve efficient and affordable services, and improve the overall quality of healthcare for Filipinos,” said Ylanan.
Globe Business partners with the country's healthcare institution in future-proofing their establishments through the use of digital expertise and tools such as Hospital Information System (HIS).
HIS aims to support healthcare institutions in providing efficient and faster data sharing, effectively cutting down the time to complete transactions, and eventually reduce costs.
“We are a partner in the digital journey of our healthcare institution customers and we want to make sure that they are able to maximize their investments,” said Ylanan.
Brillantes added that the webinar will up the ante in the promotion of public support for data governance to give focus to data governance and its importance in specific social or industry sectors.
The Data Newsroom Series will feature the theme “Data Governance: Innovations and Collaborations in Response to the Pandemic,” with public and private sector representatives taking up the digitization of the health care sector. It will feature speakers from Globe Business, Department of Health, OCTA Research, University of the Philippines National College of Public Administration and Governance, and the National Privacy Commission.
