Willie Revillame says ABS-CBN OK'd John Lloyd Cruz's appearance on GMA

Willie Revillame shared with fans how he actually asked ABS-CBN's permission first before having John Lloyd Cruz on his show.

He related during a recent episode of "Wowowin: Tutok To Win," "At para malaman niyo rin ho, with respect sa ABS-CBN, dun din naman po kami nanggaling, nagpaalam din ako kay Mr. Carlo Katigbak. (For your information, with respect to ABS-CBN - where I also came from - I actually asked for Mr. Carlo Katigbak's consent to have John Lloyd here)," he said.

“I got the number from Direk Bobot and I texted Mr. Carlo Katigbak, 'Sir, can I call you?' He’s very kind."

According to Willie, Carlo said: "Hindi ko naman sila puwedeng pigilan. Siyempre meron na silang mga buhay at siyempre, kailangan nilang magtrabaho at wala naman kaming naibibigay sa kanila. (I cannot prevent them from appearing on other networks as they have their own life. They need to work, and we can not give that to them.)"

The 60-year-old star also shared Carlo's parting message: "Sige, bahala ka muna kay John Lloyd."

Willie then said of John Lloyd, “Nakakatuwa itong batang ‘to. Sabi ko, itong mga taong ito ang inspirasyon at itong mga katulad ni John Lloyd ang dapat natin sinusuportahan at pinanonood. Kaya Lloydie, maraming salamat sa tiwala mo sa akin, kay Direk Bobot (Edgar Mortiz). (I really like this kid. He is an inspiration. He is worth supporting, watched. Thank you so much Lloydie, for trusting me and Direk Bobot),” he said.

He then teased that they are already cooking a project for John Lloyd.

In fact, Willie noted that the 37-year-old star already met with GMA-7 executive Annette Gozon-Valdes.

Under negotiation is an upcoming sitcom, which he plans to produce along with John Lloyd, himself.

Willie teased that if ever, the latter will be "AT's" love interest.

Many believe AT stands for the name of Kapuso sexy actress Andrea Torres, the most recent ex-girlfriend of Derek Ramsay, who is now making sweet music with John Lloyd’s ex Ellen Adarna.
