Police kills 52-year-old woman in Quezon City

An alleged drunk police officer killed a 52-year-old woman by dragging her by the hair before shooting her dead in Quezon City Monday night.

Police identified the suspect as M/Sgt. Hensie Zinampan, of the Police Security Protection Group, who was caught in a video firing a shot at Lilibeth Valdez.

A photo uploaded by Vincent, the victim's grandson, on his Facebook account shows Lilibeth Valdez lying dead outside their house in Barangay Greater Fairview, Quezon City

The killing stemmed from a heated argument between Zinampan and Valdez' son, according to the victim's daughter, Beverly Luceno.

"Nagsuntukan po kasi 'yung pulis pati yung kapatid kong lalaking isa (The suspect and my brother previously had a fistfight)," Luceno told reporters, adding that the two were both drunk when they engaged in a fistfight.

In a video taken during the incident and has gone viral on social media, Zinampan, wearing a t-shirt and a short, was looking for someone when Valdez approached him outside her house in Barangay Greater Fairview.

Zinampan then grabbed Valdez by the hair and shot her dead despite her pleas.

"Sir, huwag nyo naman ako saktan, Sir (Sir, don't hurt me please)," Valdez was heard asking the police in the video.

The incident was witnessed by several children.

Lt. Col. Melchor Rosales, Batasan Police chief, immediately dispatched his men and arrested Zinampan.
