The local government of Manila will start using four malls as vaccination sites on June 2.
In his mayoral address on Tuesday, Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said there will be vaccination in SM Manila, SM San Lazaro, Lucky Chinatown, and Robinsons Place Manila.
Those who will be vaccinated in malls tomorrow are individuals belonging to the A1, A2, and A3 priority groups who have yet to get their first dose.
Each site will have 1,500 doses of vaccine. Vaccination will start at 8 a.m., the mayor announced.
Domagoso said the vaccination in malls will serve as a “practice” for the city’s rollout for the A4 priority group.
“Para pag nag-announce na pwede na ‘yung A4, pwede na tayo mag-deploy ay na-practice na natin (At least when they announce that we can deploy vaccines to the A4 group, we’ve already practiced the rollout),” he said.
On June 1, Moreno said the city of Manila received 13,800 doses of Sputnik V and 10,000 doses of Sinovac.
