Expect rotating power outages in NCR on June 1 -- Meralco

Meralco has advised its customers in Metro Manila to expect rotating power outages today, June 1.

In an advisory, Meralco said possible power interruptions are due to the placing of the Luzon Grid under Red Alert from 10:01 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:01 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) raised the red alert in the Luzon grid “due to insufficient operating reserve.”

Meralco said the following areas might experience power supply interruption from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

    • Pasong Kawayan 1 and Pasong Kawayan 2
  • Tanza
    • Bagtas, Biga, Bunga, Daang Amaya 1, Mulawin, Paradahan 1, Paradahan 2, Punta 1, Punta 2, Sanja Mayor, Santol, Tanauan and Tres Cruses
  • Trece Martirez City
    • Aguado, Cabuco, De Ocampo, Gregorio, Hugo Perez, Lapidario, Luciano and San Agustin
