CAMP OLA, Albay – Former Camarines Sur 1st District Representative Rolando Andaya survived an apparent assassination attempt in Brgy. Palestina, Pili town, Camarines Sur province around 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police Regional Office 5 (PRO-5) spokesperson Police Major Malu Calubaquib said Andaya was onboard his service vehicle when motorcycle-riding suspects fired at the former congressman’s Toyota land Cruiser along the Maharlika Highway Brgy. Palestina.
Recovered from the scene were two fired cartridges of caliber .45. Andaya and his companions were not unharmed after the shooting incident.
Police Brigadier General onnel Estomo immediately ordered an investigation on the ambush incident.
