QC legal department files charges vs Brgy Nagkaisang Nayon home owners association president


The Legal Department of the Quezon City government has filed a complaint for violation of health protocols and social gathering against Phase 3 homeowners association president Juancho “Johnny” Ysores.

A complaint for Violation of RA 11332, the "Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act," was filed at the QC Prosecutors Office against Ysores.

This, after 55 residents tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after attending an improvised pool party and drinking session at Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon in Quezon City from May 9 - 11.

Thepool party was arranged by the residents to celebrate Mother’s day.

The pool party and drinking session were not reported to the city government not until after one resident tested positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the legal department is evaluating the response of Barangay Chairman Feliciano Dela Cruz to the show-cause order issued by Mayor Joy Belmonte for possible liability.
