Woman nabbed for hitting Manila traffic enforcer tests positive for drug use


The female driver, who was earlier apprehended for hitting a traffic enforcer in Manila, has tested positive for illegal drug use, the Manila Police District Special Mayor’s Team (MPD-SMaRT) disclosed on Sunday (May 30).

Police Lieutenant Colonel Rosalino “Jhun” Ibay Jr., MPD-SMaRT chief, said Pauline Mae S. Altamirano, 26 , and her three cohorts tested positive for shabu use.

Altamirano, who was caught in camera hitting a traffic enforcer, was arrested in Malate, Manila on May 27.

Investigators learned from the phone conversation of Altamirano that she was a drug courier.

With this information, members of MPD-SMaRT conducted an entrapment operation on May 28.

Arrested during the operation were identified as Rendor E. Sanchez, 30; Jason S. Dela Cruz, 29; and Marlon A. De Guzman, 29.

All the suspects are currently under the custody of MPD.
