Getting vaccinated against the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Las Pinas City can be very rewarding.
This was gathered after Deputy Speaker and Las Pinas Rep. Camille Villar unveiled Friday, May 28, the “May Bahay sa Bakuna: Bakunado Ka Na, May Bahay Ka Pa!” promo that offers a house-and-lot and other valuables to encourage her constituents to have themselves vaccinated and protected from the deadly COVID-19.
In the vaccine promotional raffle, Las Pinas residents who received the COVID-19 jab may win grocery items, motorcycles and a brand new house and lot package, apparently donated by her family’s real estate firm, one of the biggest in the country.
"We want to reinforce the importance of getting vaccinated for people, their families, and the community. It will not only protect people but help our economy slowly recover,” Villar said, reiterating the position of health experts that vaccination is safe and essential to helping end the pandemic.
The raffle will run from June 15 to December 23 and will be open to all Las Pinas residents who have received a single dose of any vaccine brand.
The House official aired the confidence that with this initiative her constituents will be inspired to have themselves protected from COVID-19 via immunization.
"Through this effort, we also have a chance to increase awareness and confidence in vaccines," added Villar.
According to the most recent survey by the Social Weather Stations, only three out of 10 Filipinos want themselves vaccinated.
To qualify for the raffle, residents must be at least 18 years old. Raffle tickets are available in all barangay halls for those who have already been vaccinated and in vaccination centers for newly vaccinated. properly filled numbered tickets must be dropped in barangay halls, AllHome and AllDay Supermarket branches within Las Piñas.
Monthly draws starting July 15 onwards will be conducted and 50 winners will be given "pangkabuhayan showcase" worth P5,000.
Grand draw will be on December 24 and participants will get a chance to win two motorcycles and a house and lot from Bria Homes.
